Moving On

Well we are leaving Singapore today and catching the train to Kuala Lumpur. We have enjoyed our week here, the highlights being the amazing Singapore Zoo (theres almost no cages and many of the animals are free roaming, we were walking down a path and a kangaroo hopped past! and there are monkeys everywhere!) and the Chinese New Year celebrations running all week providing free music and entertainment that ended last night with an enormous fireworks display over the river! Apparently Jared is the year of the horse and I (rachel) am the year of the dog! read into that what you will!!

Jared also walked into a group of Buddist monks in a museum the other day, he trod on one of their feet! thankfully they laughed about it!! We have seriously enjoyed the food here. Every type of Asian cuisine is here, but we mainly enjoyed the chinese food, wanting to save ourselves for Malaysian and Thai cuisine when we are in those countries. It puts british chinese take aways in their place, you can get fish head soup and frogs legs porridge, we werent brave enough for these though.

Thanks for all your comments, we have now worked out how to put photos on, so there should be plenty more in future. Tim Brown- a contact in NZ would be lovely if you dont think they would mind?
Good luck to all the soon to be mums, cant wait to see all those new faces. Perhaps we could see some photos when the time comes?

Wow! I don't check for a few days and there's an explosion of photos!

Looks amazing.

Jared the horse and Rachel the dog? Hm.

Was that a polar bear in the water? I hope he wasn't wandering round free.

Will look forward to your food reports from Thailand etc.

Following a student weekend at the Long Barn, Chris has been sacked for inappropriate recitations about Eskimo Nell. He was reported to the leadership team by Tim Oakes who has now been appointed to take Chris's place.

New Update: Tim Oakes has been ordained and renamed John Sampson Jr. and is the new official leader of the lindenites. Chris Matthews is safely locked in the baptistry following his outrageous behaviour. Alun John has been ousted by new leader John Sampson Jr. due to some circumstancial evidence suggesting he has 'feelings' for another male in the community.
Basically Linden is falling apart without you!

Great pics and I'm gald you're still alive and well. x

Hi guys, done some research and I am the year of the ram:
People born in the Year of the Ram are said to be elegant and artistic
Famous sheep include: Catherine Deneuve and Sharleen Spiteri
Hmmmm! Not sure if the chinese have got that quite right! In fact, not sure if I could be elegant even if I tried my hardest!

Horse:People born in the Year of the Horse are said to be hard working and independent
Famous horses include: Rolf Harris and Aretha Franklin

Dog:People born in the Year of the Dog are said to be honest and faithful
Famous dogs include: Jools Holland and Tamara Beckwith

Hope this is insightful (is that a proper word?)
Missing you, lots of love adina, leon and jedidiah. xxx
