Australia!

We have made it to Oz!

Its been a a bit of a roller coaster the last couple a weeks but we are currently in Byron Bay just south of Brisbane. It is backpacker land, but has a lovely beach here.

We are staying in a crazy place called the Arts factory lodge (google it!), and our accomodation is a small tent/lodge on a moat surrounded island, its quite cosy but definately the strangest place weve stayed. The hostel runs various workshops including digeridoo making, bushtucker walks and yoga. The large dorms are either a double decker bus or a tipi.

As we said in the last blog my nana has died and my dad had to leave so we didnt arrive here in the best of spirits but we enjoyed sydney, it really is a beautiful city. At the weekend we head up to Brisbane to stay in my Uncle and Aunts house, unfortunately they are in the UK due to my nanas death, so it will just be us, but perhaps having a house and swimming pool all to ourselves wont be such a bad thing!

We will be there for 6 nights then we go to Fraser Island, its a tour party thing so 10 of us go off in 2 jeeps for 2 days on this island and make our own fun. I just hope its not us and a load of hyper teenagers! i dont feel like playing mum and dad.

Thats our plans so far, its raining today and in a beach resort theres not a lot to do so im thinking of home! Happy Birthday to all you April babies, Tim O, Mel, Paula, John P, Rach B,Chris M hope we didnt miss anyone out.
